# Getting votes

1. To start voting in Allbridge DAO go to <https://dao.allbridge.io/>
2. If you don’t have ABR staked, press **Get xABR** button, which will redirect you to the staking page.

&#x20; 4\. After you get your xABR, go to DAO page, choose the chain where you have your xABR and connect your wallet.

5\. Now you can lock your xABR by pressing **Add Votes** button.

&#x20; 6\. In the pop-up window you need to choose the amount of xABR you want to lock and the lock period. You can choose the lock period by clicking on the icons or manually. Note that you can’t lock your xABR for less than 30 days (1 month) or more than 1095 days (3 years). Also, you can’t lock less than 1 xABR.

&#x20; 7\. After choosing the Lock amount and the Lock period you can press **Lock** button and trigger the Lock transaction. Note that you can select which asset to use to pay the gas fee only for Terra.

&#x20; 8\. Approve the transaction in your wallet, and after the transaction is successful, you will see your Votes.
